People get rejected every day. They can be simple things like being cut off in traffic, or things a little more serious. They can be personal or objective. I have never dealt with rejection well. Often resulting in violence or anger with a period of self-pity. Overall the situation is ultimately solved by convincing myself it doesn't matter, or he/she's an asshole. But what happens when is does matter. Am I forever doomed to a dash of guilt and self-pit lingering in the back of my head. No matter how many pleasent confrontations contradicting the forgotten rejection will I still feel unwanted?

In grade school my Dad once made fun of me until I cried to show that I was too sensitive and needs to take critisism lightly. The only thing it taught me was not to confide in my Dad. But it turns out that he's not the only one with that opinion and I'm running out of people to confide in.
