The winter season has always been a positive experience for me. I love the brisk weather. The cold air clearing out your throat, cozy sweater and warm fires, scarves and mittens. I presently own 4 different scarves, one for every occasion. Recently I have associated the winter weather with romance. For me, the most romantic experiences in my life were experienced during the winter months, surrounded by christmas lights and snow drifts. I like walking from the bus stop. Bundled up like a 7 year old at recess, attentively listening for any signs of wildlife within the evergreens. I am happiest when it's cold outside.

Last night my roomate, and my roomates from last year went to the bar. It was a great time, the best part being when Janass BIT her glass and broke it! Jaws of steal baby, jaws of steal.

I love learning about other cultures. Yesterday I sat in the library with one of my good friends, who happens to be Jewish, and talked about her culture. She informed me that she will only ever date Jewish men. I was completely blown away by this concept and had no idea such things occurred within society. Although I now understand why she has this preference I couldn't ever imagine limiting myself in such a fashion. I completely ruins my ideas about soulmates and 'someone for everyone.' I find her culture to be very interesting. Also recently I had no idea how many Muslim friends I had before fasting started recently. Now I think that prehaps I have more non-Christian friends than Christian ones. Although to some that may not be a big deal, but remember the first time I encountered a non-Christian was last september when I met my roomates. In general, I love it. I love being exposed to new things and I love listening to the different ways people live their life. I love what I'm becoming.

Last night I fell asleep shortly after 7. This morning I recieved a message from my roomate saying "You are dead to the world when you sleep." There couldn't be anymore truth in that statement. Right now for me sleep is *my* time. My escape from everything. Although sleeping 11 hours a night is a bit selfish don't you think?

When people give things up because they're trrying to lose wieght there is usually one thing that they hold on to. Me, I will never give up bacon and eggs, ever. I don't care if they would guarnantee instant weight loss. There is no reason for getting up in the morning if your not going to have eggs. Honestly, who gets out of bed looking forward to a bowl of cereal?

For those of you that are curious, it ended up that two doors down there was an 'agitated man' as reported by the local news. It's just not the same anymore in the neighbourhood though. I get a little creeped out when I walk down my street at dark, or when I'm in my apartment alone at night with my back to the window. I'm sure that this paranoia will subside though. My first night here I slept with my head under the covers. My heart raced every time the sensor light went on. Two weeks in I was forgetting to lock the door at night. So I'm okay and currently have full access to my house, but lost my buss pass :(.
Last year I had a cream cheese knife, this year I have a yogurt spoon. How come the idea of day-old dairy remnant doesn't scare me?

Hey, I was on my home this afternoon. I decided for the first time to go home in the afternoon. On my leasuirly walk home I noticed flashing light at the end of my street. As I neared the intersection I noticed two policemen waiting behind a tree and a bunch of school students observing their actions. I pressed the crosswalk button and waited, and waited, nothing. The group of bystanders was shooed away by the police man patroling the street. "But sir, I live on this street" "NO!" So I ventured around the block to try my luck with the officer partrolling the colborne intersection. On my excursion I noticed two more policemen waiting in the back parking lot (our back yard runs to a parking lot) One of the officers was waiting at the gate BEHIND MY HOUSE!!! I continued to walk to the otherside of the street, although now I was fully aware that there was no possibilty of going home. On the way I congratulated myself on my decision to eat a bagel earlier that morning, and not to go grocery shopping on my way home. Upon arriving at the other side I was approached by a very friendly female officer who informed me that they "are waiting for someone, I'm very sorry that you can't get home but it is unsafe. There are weapons involved here" satisfied with her arguement that denies me access to my own home I took the bus to Erick's (janice's boyfriends) were his roomate were very hospitible in letting me use their computer and warm up before I had to attend band practice.
Bottom line. Please watch the news tonight to see what is going on by my house. I'm terrified about going home and wonder if it would be a good idea to spend the night at a friends. I didn't see any media there, which in a way almost scares me more. So don't worry I'm safe, but keep and ear open!

I came on to satisfy my readers with a blog, but then realised that my life is boring. So that you have an accurate idea of a day in the life of Anna, here are some of the boring things that I am almost positive you don't want to read about:
- I normally hit the snooze button three times, getting up with barely enough time to make eggs and shower.
- I attend all my classes and all my teachers know my name, first and last.
- my highlight of every morning includes discussing my formal lab report for biochemistry I, coming up with a great idea and exchanging a encouraging 'right hand rule' with my group members (for the non-physics students, when performed correctly the end position is a thumbs up)
- In my last class of the morning I usually think of a creative place to eat my can of pineapple and where I can aquire another copy card (I lose mine weekly)
- towards the end of my break I usually find myself in the computer lab printing off and assignment that I completed the night before, two days before it's due date
- I remain on campus until approximately 9:30 doing pre-labs, more assingments and occasionally studying
- I go home to my apartment and discover that my roomate has left a mere 10 minutes earlier. Afraid of being alone for too long I pass out on my bed and start all over at 7:00 am.

This week I was eating so healthy. I was almost reaching my daily intake of fruits, occasionally eating vegetables, and having a serving of meat every day. I had hugely cut back on sweets too. I've gained 7 pounds since the summer and I have big plans on losing it. Then I go over to Bill's. On Tuesday he forced me to eat three generously sized double chocolate explosion cookies. That's okay I can handle a couple sweets. Then he left the cookie doe in my fridge, forcing me to eat it when I arrived home one Wednesday night. Last night I had full intentions of eating the can of mandarin magic in my bookbag for lunch until Bill gave me no other option but to eat three pieces of peperoni and bacon pizza with strawberry shortcake icecream for dessert! Since my stomach was so full I ended up passing out, failing to complete my organic chemsitry lab write up. Furthermore, my only breakfast options were a chocolate chip cookie and a bowl of Captian Crunch. Way to go Bill.
